Zusammenfassung:The transport and logistics system of the Russian Federation turned out to be one of the most vulnerable areas as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact of the pandemic was naturally reflected not only on economic entities - carriers, but also on vehicle manufacturers. In this work, a brief analysis of the strategy for the development of road transport and urban ground electric transport of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, the structure of the rolling stock in general, and an analysis of the structure of passenger transport of the Russian Federation and the Rostov region in expanded form were carried out. A study was made of the total number of passenger transport, its distribution by categories, types of fuel used, and service life. Conclusions are made about the general trends of changes in the structure of bus transport and the prospects for its effective use. The development of measures for recovery after COVID-19 can affect the evolution in the transport sector and make the need for improved transport management and the development of innovative ideas in the production sector even more urgent.
