Zusammenfassung: | This study aims to model the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into the power system, taking into consideration the battery exchange (BE) mode. The focus is to understand the effects of EVs on the power system's reliability and assess the satisfaction level of the EV demand. To achieve these objectives, the study uses reliable databases to extract the behavior of EV usage, which is then modeled using a probabilistic load model. Additionally, the study also focuses on the reliability of the transmission network. It considers the effect of line aging and loading on line failures, modeling the line failures as a function of loading and age. The loading factor considers the impact of the EV load on the line failure. The results of the simulation show that the BE station can improve the power system's reliability, and the satisfaction level of the EV demand can be optimized with strategic BE operation. The study also finds that the level of power system reliability and the satisfaction of EV demand are inversely related. This means that as the power system's reliability increases, the satisfaction of the EV demand decreases, and vice versa. |
