Zusammenfassung:Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is one of the major neurodegenerative disorders responsible for more than 60-80% of dementia cases globally. Satisfactory outcomes were not accomplished through pharmacological treatment by conventional drugs. Complementary and alternative medicines are projected as a source of new drugs for the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases. Rutin (RUT) a natural flavonoid was shown to prevent a few cases of memory deficits;it can be a preventive strategy against the development of AD.
