Zusammenfassung:— This paper examines the feasibility of using acoustic emission (AE) for gaining insight into solvation processes in liquids. In particular, we demonstrate that, during solvation of various salts, acoustic emission parameters are determined by the chemical composition of the salt. Our results make it possible to predict the application field of AE measurements for probing the salt dissolution process.
