Zusammenfassung: | Marchiafava-Bignami disease is a rare, chronic alcoholism related disease which characterized with corpus callosum demyelination and necrosis. Marchiafava-Bignami disease typically begins in the body of the corpus callosum and later involves the genu and then splenium. Cortical lesions are rare, and they are known to have a poor prognosis. In our case, we will describe a 46-year-old chronic alcoholic male patient who uses alcohol for 30 years, with unusual cranial MRI findings like cortical involvement and a good prognosis. |
