Various researches recently have highlighted the tragic consequences of the severe level of work-related stress as a result of ignoring people to their stress signs and symptoms in the early stages and convincing themselves that it is merely for a short while rather than taking any action to bring it down to its natural level. This study will explore the level of stress among professional construction engineers in a developing country such as Yemen precisely in Aden city based on the work-related stress symptoms. Sixty-two (62) questionnaires set using a five-point Likert scale method were distributed between the professional construction engineers in the construction projects in Aden city south of Yemen to fulfil the objective of this study. The data of this study will be analyzed using the frequency rate and scoring analysis method. Then the results will be labelled according to the level of stress depending on symptoms of work-related stress among professional engineers and finally will be introduced in the tables and figures for straightforward interpretation and understanding. The result exhibited that the professional engineers in Yemen experience dangerous levels of stress caused by work-related stress according to the physical, emotional, sleeping, and personal habits symptoms. This study’s obtained outcomes can serve as a roadmap to protect those professional engineers in Yemen from the harmful effects of work stress and improving their occupation satisfaction and well-being on and off the work environment.
