description At present, microarc oxidation technology is of considerable interest due to the high performance characteristics of modified oxide layers on valve metals. The scope of these coatings is constantly expanding, but the introduction of this technology into the industry is still difficult. Eliminating the shortcomings of microarc oxidation technology is impossible without a deep understanding of a wide range of phenomena occurring during coating formation and their comprehensive analytical description. The article presents recommendations on the application of scientific approaches and methods that can be used in the development of a fundamental mathematical model of plasma electrolysis.
