Zusammenfassung:The cover picture shows the schematic organization of the crystal structure of the high‐temperature phase Eu1‐xGa2+3x. The main matrix reflects the atomic arrangement of the structure type AlB2, i.e., for hypothetic europium digallide with x = 0. Three‐bonded gallium atoms (blue) form plane honeycomb networks, europium species are embedded in‐between. Rather unexpected, in the real structure, some europium atoms are replaced by gallium triangles. The so‐appeared four‐bonded gallium species serve as ‘electron saving’, contributing to the stabilization of the – on the first look – strange and non‐stoichiometric composition. This structural feature is observed in all gallium‐rich phases in the Eu‐Ga system. (DOI: 10.1002/zaac.202300101).
