description | Food security is linked to the SDGs, especially in achieving the goals of zero-hunger, responsible consumption, good health and well-being. The development of digital technology has begun to be used to achieve the goal of food security. The research aims to explore the extent to which food and agriculture digital platforms play a role in creating national food security. This study uses an illustrative qualitative analysis method based on the theory of community resilience and a digital ecosystem platform. This research was based on eight food and agriculture digital platforms in Indonesia. The research used secondary data obtained from websites, reviews and ratings on Google Play-store of those eight digital platforms. The analysis was carried out using Quirkos Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDA). Research shows that digital food and agriculture platforms play a role in creation of national food security through platform owners, value creation, and complementary interactions in diversification, adaptation of business models, creation of meta-platforms, optimization of system operations of the food and agriculture ecosystem. The challenge that is still being faced was lack of synergy between platform owners and ecosystem complementary in creating value and delivering the public goods. Likewise, the lack of culture and knowledge of digital technology among farmers and consumers also hinders the use of digital platforms. Further case study research to include more stakeholders is needed so that the challenges of the food ecosystem platform can more comprehensively answered. |
