Zusammenfassung:This paper presents identification and verification of a new version of the mathematical model of the Universal Modeling Method for calculating gas-dynamic characteristics of centrifugal compressors. To identify the loss model, we have tested the 20CE family of model stages designed by the Problem Laboratory of Compressor Engineering TU Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The identification involved the results of 70 model stages tests and the plant test results of the TKR-175E and TKR-140E turbocharger compressors. The identification result was the average error in calculating the efficiency inside 1.2% for all flow rates. To verify the new model, low flow rate model stages measured characteristic were successfully compared with calculations.
