Experimental estimation of gas pressure pulsations in communications of high-speed reciprocating compressor units

The gas pressure pulsations in the suction and discharge pipes of reciprocating compressors are connected with the processes that occur there periodically. There are methods for estimating the magnitude of pressure fluctuations for high-speed reciprocating units. This work is devoted to the development of a test bench to study gas pulsations in the communications of various types of reciprocating units, with preliminary verification of its operation using the obtained pulsation parameters on a high-speed unit. The studies carried out on a laboratory facility made it possible to confirm the adequacy of the experimental studies and, accordingly, to substantiate the possibility of using this test connection on other types of reciprocating compressor machines.
