description | A long marketing chain for fresh marine fish causes the marketing margin to get bigger so that marketing is inefficient or the market mechanism is imperfect. In Makassar City, Indonesia aims to estimate the factors affecting fresh marine fish using a dummy variable regression approach with cross-section data. The basic method of research is the explanatory method. The findings show that the marketing volume and marketing channel dummy (IV) have a significant effect on the marketing margins of fresh marine fish, while the marketing channel dummy (I), marketing channel dummy (II), and marketing channel dummy (III) have no significant effect, while marketing channel (V) as a comparison or control other dummy variables. To reduce the marketing margin for fresh fish so that marketing becomes efficient, it can be done by strengthening bargaining fisherman, activating fishermen group activities, and improving the institutional system to benefit fishers. Efficient marketing plays a role in creating market share for fishers and small-scale fisheries management in domestic and international markets. |
