description The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fractions in elementary school students in Demak Sub District. The research method used a quasi experimental design, with the research sample of the fourth grade students of the Kadilangu 1 Elementary School in Demak Regency with a total of 34 students as the experimental class and the fourth grade students of the Kadilangu 2 Elementary School with 31 students as the control class. The sampling technique used purposive random sampling. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, and interviews. Data analysis of data descriptions, average similarity test, and requirements test using data descriptions, prerequisite analysis tests (normality test, and homogeneity test), and hypothesis testing (t test and N-Gain test). The results showed that: the use of problem based learning learning models had a positive effect on learning outcomes in Mathematics which was known from the t test of 2,199 > 2,000 and the N-gain percent test of 61.73 (quite effective). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the Problem Based learning model Learning affects the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students in Demak Sub District.
