Zusammenfassung:Ongole Crossbreed cattle and Javanese cattle are germplasms that need to be preserved as livestock genetic resources. The research was aimed to compare the semen quality of Javanese Bull and Ongole crossbreed bull, diluted with egg yolk citrate and goat milk diluent. The background of this research was the increasing scarcity of livestock germplasm in Indonesia, including Javanese cattle and Ongole Crossbreed cattle, so that information on semen quality from the germplasm needs to be explored. Semen was obtained twice a week using an artificial vagina. Semen was evaluated for its quality and quantity, including volume, concentration, motility, viability, and abnormalities. The data on semen volume and concentration were analyzed using a t-test. Meanwhile, the motility, viability, and abnormality data were analyzed using variance with a completely randomized design with a 2 x 2 factorial design. The results showed no significant interaction between bull breeds and the diluent. The semen volume of Javanese bull (2.18 ml) was not significantly different from that of Ongole Crossbreed bull (2.13 ml); the semen concentration of Javanese bull (1,950 million/ml) was not significantly different from that of Ongole Crossbreed bull (1,975 million/ml). Sperm motility, viability, and abnormalities of Javanese bull were not significantly different from that of Ongole Crossbreed bull (77.75% vs. 78.38%; 81.50% vs. 82.00%; 10.75% vs. 9.50%), Sperm motility and viability diluted with egg yolk citrate was better (P
