description The purpose of this research is to present the steps necessary to make a digital topographic map of the boundaries and the precincts of the port of Constanta and Tomis. This work started by identifying the existing and undamaged landmarks in the national geodetic network, for the planimetric part and for the altimetry part, leveling terminals were sought in the national altimetric network that would be close to the targeted area. Inside the port, a thickening network of approximately 300 points was made, which were used both to determine the planimetric coordinates and the altimetric values. Measurements for the exact determination of the elevations of the points in the thickening network were made when starting from a landmark in the national altimetric network, the necessary route was followed, after which the leveling line was closed on a known elevation landmark (this allows a compensation very good quota). Due to a very large area and a large number of points whose elevation had to be determined, these leveling lines were classified into 2 categories, thus being the main leveling routes and secondary leveling routes.
