Zusammenfassung: | The study used GA and HDM-4 program methods to predict future failures and suggest the necessary renovations. HDM-4 method is a suitable software and tool for the areas with complete information and a systematic execution method with all stages of road pavement renovation and maintenance (PRM) carried out according to certain standards and in ideal conditions. However, in regions like Iran and the researched region (Qazvin), as all the information is not accurately and completely available, and the execution method of renovation options is far from the standards of advanced countries, HDM-4 might reduce its accuracy and optimality. The proposal provided by the GA method is less expensive than HDM-4. For areas with limited information and outside of systematic methods, the GA method could be more suitable than HDM-4. It has been selected in both methods for periodic activities and 5cm coating, as it has lower cost and better efficiency (efficiency-to-cost ratio) compared to the foundation of renovations. As the value of the internal rate of return (IRR) for the proposed HDM-4 program is high, one can state that this program suggests a costeffective proposal. Given the activities shown in the GA method in the study, one can predict with great confidence that by developing this method and adding other software and informational and theoretical facilities and equipment to this method, one could present a suitable method for road maintenance management (RMM) |
