Zusammenfassung:Temperature stable (1−x)BaV 2 O 6 −xBaZnV 2 O 7 (x = 0.35–0.55) composite ceramics were prepared by solid state ceramic route. The structural features of the ceramics were analysed using X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopic techniques. The microstructure and elemental analyses of the ceramics were studied using FE-SEM and EDS techniques. The composite with x = 0.5 sintered at 670 ºC for 2 h exhibits a relative density of above 96% together with a near zero temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τ f ) of + 1.2 ppm/ ºC. The sample also shows good microwave dielectric properties of ε r  = 11 and Q×f = 30,100 GHz respectively. The excellent chemical compatibility of this ceramic with silver electrode makes it an appropriate material for low temperature co-fired ceramic applications.
