Zusammenfassung: | The authors suggest a new approach to combine polymer composite and metal components in a single product that is based on the idea to integrate metal component into a composite on a mezo level by combining metal and mineral fibers. The paper presents a set of challenges that have to be overcome to get different reinforcement materials acting consistently together in a product, study and activities plan, and processing methods to combine mineral and metal reinforcement. A testing fixture has been designed and a number of wires and carbon rovings with different mechanical properties have been tested. A comparison of stress-strain behavior of metal and mineral fibers is provided with a review of their combined action efficiency. |
