Zusammenfassung: | The instrument enclosure at Ronaldsway in 2010. The Isle of Man has a rugged terrain that causes many modifications to the local weather. Perhaps due to the varied effects, there is a long tradition of the inhabitants having an interest in meteorology and there have been more than a hundred sites where climatological measurements have been made. The Island's Meteorological Office at Ronaldsway Airport has developed from a mainly airport service into an important part of the community, providing essential forecasts and warnings of severe weather events. |
