Zusammenfassung: | Additive manufacturing (AM) is an evolving production technology which produces a three-dimensional object with the help of a 3D CAD model building it layer upon layer. Engineer/designer community is using this technology exclusively in current times. Part Build orientation is an important aspect in AM because it has direct effects on the accuracy of component, quantity of support required, the amount of time needed to print the component, the strength of produced part and the cost incurred in the production of the part. Determining the best part orientation in the AM will have significant effects on the parameters like build cost, part accuracy, part strength, build time etc. This paper summarizes the recent and relevant studies carried out with reference to build orientation of Additively Manufactured components. |
