description | Dengue disease is still a global health problem, according to WHO, which reported cases increased more than eight times over the last two decades. The vector control has been developed, but the dengue fever outbreak cannot be prevented. Meanwhile, there is no dengue antiviral drug until now. Dengue vaccine is one of the potentials to prevent dengue fever outbreaks. For Muslim-majority countries, it is essential to use a halal dengue vaccine technology platform. This study aims to explore technology platforms that have prospects for producing halal products. Among several technology platforms that have been developed for the dengue vaccine, the recombinant subunit vaccine and DNA vaccine have the prospect of producing halal vaccine products. In addition, safety aspects and affordable prices also need attention. |
