Zusammenfassung:The results of studying the mechanical properties of the Ti–4.25Al–2V titanium alloy produced by direct metal deposition with use of the equipment developed by the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University are described. The mechanical properties of the deposited metal are compared with those of the cast and forged metal blanks. It is shown that the superior properties of the former in comparison with cast metal are associated with differences in the structure (in particular, with a high degree of dispersity).
