This study is to examine the potential medicinal plants in the local community of Pakpak ethnic that is occupied in the Sitinjo 1 village which is commonly used in society and daily life. This study was conducted in September-October 2021. The methodology method is observation and interviews and for the next identification of the plants in the field. The results of this study conducted in the villages around this village found that there are about 37 kinds of plant medicinal frequently used by people to treat various diseases. Medicinal plants are most commonly used in the Asteraceae, Solanaceae, and Zingiberaceae. This study can still be developed because more possible plants could be obtained for the efficacious plant in Pakpak ethnic in Dairi district.
