Evaluation the proficiency of irradiative poly(vinyl chloride) films in existence of di- and tri-organotin(IV) complexes

Four valsartan of organotin(IV) complexes [Ph3SnL, Ph2SnL2, Bu3SnL and Bu2SnL2] have been synthesized, characterized and used as photo-stabilizes for polyvinyl chloride in previous research. The PVC films doped with the complexes at a concentration of 0.5% by weight. The PVC films irradiated at wave...

description Four valsartan of organotin(IV) complexes [Ph3SnL, Ph2SnL2, Bu3SnL and Bu2SnL2] have been synthesized, characterized and used as photo-stabilizes for polyvinyl chloride in previous research. The PVC films doped with the complexes at a concentration of 0.5% by weight. The PVC films irradiated at wavelength 313 nm at room temperature for up to 300 h. The efficiency of the complexes evaluated from the comparisons between the polyvinyl chloride materials in the existence and without the complexes before and after irradiation by gel content, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and microscope. The organotin(IV) complexes prove its activity to retard the photo-degradation of PVC in the trend follow: Ph3SnL (1)>Ph2SnL2 (3)>Bu3SnL (2)>Bu2SnL2 (4).
