Zusammenfassung:— Seven new cyanine dyes were synthesized. These compounds, together with eleven described derivatives of the same class, have been probed as fluorogens for the FAST and nanoFAST proteins. The study of the increase in fluorescence intensity upon interaction with these proteins allowed us to identify structural elements suitable for the design of protein-labeling systems based on cyanine dye–fluorogen-activating protein pairs.
