EXTRACTION AND DRAWING OF SHAPE INFORMATION THROUGH OPERATING ELEMENTS WITHIN BUILDING INFORMATION MODELS FOR CONSIDERING FACTOR OF A FAILURE

The objective of this study is to develop a method to extract and draw shape information of elements through operating those within building information models for considering the factor of a failure. According to the types of building components, three types which are pipes, rooftop slabs and roof-drains are selected as a case study. In each case, the different method to confirm and extract the overlap between an element and the target room is proposed. Drawings are created in a 2D manner by using this extracted shape information.
