An NMR Spectral Study of the Structure of 5,5,6-trihydroxy-6-methyldihydropyrimidine-2,4-(1H,3H)-dione in DMSO-d6

The structure of 5,5,6-trihydroxy-6-methyldihydropyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione (2) was proven using 13 C, 1 H, and 15 N NMR spectroscopy. A new form (2a) was detected and shown to have a structure similar to dione 2 .
