description | The role of modern science education systems nowadays is not only the standard transformation of educational content, but also - in response to the current situation in education and reflection of positives and negatives of online education - the development of personality skills that will have a lasting value and be universally applicable. Such scientific abilities of a personality undoubtedly include an understanding of causal relations and their mathematical description, e.g. in the form of functions and their graphs. The function graph provides a plenty of information that can be additionally provided by a computer. In the times of utilizing online education, it is undoubtedly important to convey information by modern means, in the center of which is a computer. Through computers, the representation of functional relationships by graphs is becoming a common means of communication not only in physics and technology, but also in our daily lives. Methods that allow mathematical expression of various causal relationships and subsequent changes are lasting values that a young person can use in multiple professions. The paper presents basic knowledge about the graph and its hierarchical arrangement, as well as examples of suitable topics and activities in science subjects as well as in a normal life. |
