Zusammenfassung:[...]his daughter Rosie vowed to become a lawyer - at the ripe age of four. Early in her career, she was appointed as a commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission, a member of the Ontario Public Service Labour Relations Tribunal, and Co-Chair of the University of Toronto Academic Discipline Tribunal. The Supreme Court of Canada subsequently adopted her theories concerning equality and discrimination in its first case on equality rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1989 - Andrews v. Law Society of British Columbia, [1989] 1 S.C.R. 143. Justice Abella was appointed to the Ontario Court of Appeal in 1992, and just over a decade later, became a judge of the Supreme Court of Canada in 2004.
