Zusammenfassung:[Display omitted] •A new heterogeneous catalyst was synthesized for direct conversion of methane.•The synergistic effect between Pt and POM was used to enhance catalytic activity.•The conversion of methane to methanol, ethanol and acetic acid was realized. In this work, a novel heterogeneous compfosite catalyst was synthesized via the immobilization of platinum and polyoxometalate into MOFs containing bipyridine groups. The resulting UiO-67-Pt-Z has a high specific surface area (446 m2 g−1), which is beneficial to adsorb more methane molecules in the methane catalysed transformation, and the homogeneous distribution of Pt and POM can improve the catalytic efficiency of the catalyst. Under mild reaction conditions, methanol, ethanol, and acetic acid can be obtained in 2 h. Our work provides a new catalyst for the rapid catalytic oxidation of methane to high value-added oxygenates and broadens new ideas for exploring effective methane direct conversion in future work.
