The article reveals the cognitive factor of the infological model. Many researchers have not considered this factor. The article proves that a cognitive map is the most striking representation of the infological model. The article proves that there is no need to associate the infological model with databases only and to identify it with the entity-relationship model. Based on the research carried out, a new definition of the infological model has been formulated.
