Zusammenfassung:The paper analyzes the environmental pollution in a small industrial city (Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai). To assess the state of health of the population, we used information on the incidence and prevalence of pathology among adults in terms of seeking medical care. The source of information was data on the number of diseases registered in patients living in the service area of a medical institution (statistical reporting form No. 12), as well as information on the annual number of the served contingents. The material for the study of data on the quality of surface waters was the records of annual observations at the network of stations of the State Hydrometeorological Administration for the Primorsky Territory. In order to study in detail the variability and influence of atmospheric emissions and concentrations of pollutants in surface waters on the morbidity of the adult population in the city, a correlation and factor analysis was carried out. The study made it possible to identify patterns of long-term influence of environmental factors on the incidence of the adult population. The results obtained indicate the ambiguous influence of environmental factors on the health of the population.
