New MAX-Phased Cast Materials by Metallothermic SHS in the V–Nb–Al–C System

Cast four-component МАХ compounds (V 1– x Nb x ) 2 AlC were prepared from V 2 O 5 –Nb 2 O 5 –Al–C powder mixtures by metallothermic SHS under 5 MPa of Ar and characterized by XRD, SEM/EDS, and video filming.
