Zusammenfassung: | Observation of radio frequency (RF) emissions from laser induced breakdown (LIB) of stainless steel (SS304) and the studies on the origin of these emissions are presented. The emitted frequencies were observed to be in the range of the estimated ion-plasma frequencies, indicating the contribution of the ion-neutral collisional interactions in the radiation of RF emissions from plasma. These studies can be extended to develop an RF based tool to study the plasmas of varying electron temperatures and densities. |
