Multicomponent and Multilayer Electrospark Alloying of Airplane Parts

The production of multicomponent and multilayer coatings by electrospark alloying is considered. The coatings undergo wear, fretting-corrosion, and thermal-stability tests. Applications of electrospark alloying in strengthening gas-turbine components are noted, with examples.
