Findings - The study reveals the comparisonamong regular faculties and Regular Research scholars of mathematics departments under the university of Burdwan in terms of information needs and information seeking behaviour, enlightened the need for reinvestigating the quality of library infrastructure and services within the disciplinespecific for a deeper understanding of the information behaviour of faculties and research scholars in mathematics departments under the university of Burdwan. Originality/value - The study is the first study to deeply investigate the similarities of information-seeking behaviour of faculties and research scholar in mathematics departments under the University of Burdwan. It is also an up-to-date account of information needs and information seeking behaviour of faculties and research scholarsin mathematics department of the University of Burdwan. |
