Boolean logic and analytical hierarchy process ( B-AHP ) was combined with geographical information systems to determine the best landfill site selection. The study demonstrated that 69% total area was suitable areas for the construction of landfill. On the final map, 119,820,219 (95.8%) is the vast candidate site in Khabat, Erbil Center, Erbil plain and Koysanjaq districts, with less locations in both the north and north-east.
