Zusammenfassung:Weapon technology is one of the most developing technologies in the world, but military guns are still using gun powder (chemical propulsion) to propel the bullets from the gun. The objective of the proposed work is to replace the gun powder with electromagnetic propulsion to achieve the high-velocity impact of the bullet on the target. This proposed research, the electromagnetic gun works based on the principle of the Lorentz force. The Experimental work is done on the gun-rails made up of copper and bullets (projectile) made up of aluminium alloy, the capacitors connected in parallel for providing the flow of high current.
