Since a smart home is equipped with various sensors, actuators, smart appliances, and mobile terminals, all of these devices need to be connected to the Internet to be able to communicate and provide services for its occupants. In reference of several literatures, the more detailed objectives of smart home technology are as follows [4-7] : - Controlling home appliances via application using any device capable of wifi, - Securing connection channels between application and the embedded system, - Streaming real-time video from web camera, - Providing extensible platform for future enhancement, - Promototing energy efficiency, and - Providing home safety. Some of the research mentioned above have discussed the use of neural-based method in a smart home, however its implementation in hardware is not addressed.
