Wheat bran and psyllium diets: Effects on N-methynitrosourea-induced mammary tumorigenesis in F344 rats

Cohen et al evaluated the effect of wheat bran and psyllium alone and in combination on overall estrogen status and the induction of mammary tumors in rats. The mechanisms by which mixtures of soluble and insoluble dietary fibers protect against mammary tumorigenesis remains to be clarified.
