PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Alves discusses his vision, as he ponders his second term as president of the Ontario Association for Mathematics Education (OAME), to sustain the growth of the organization over the past few years and honour the work of his predecessors, as well as advocate for the renewed mission and vision of the organization. He imparts that regradless of the challenges that he and the whole organization face personally and collectively, he has been comforted knowing that the OAME will provide stability during these times as it has in the past. He also cites the OAME/AOEM Leadership Conference to be held on November 1, 2019 at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton, Canada that aims to look at how organization lead and sustain the excellent work that has been done in the past that has made Ontario's education system a model for many across the globe.
