description In order to understand the scientific quality of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction of residents in Liyang in the past 40 years,the basic personal information,understanding of scientific knowledge on earthquake prevention and disaster reduction,knowledge demands and preferences of community residents,as well as the evaluation on popularization and education of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in Jiangsu province were investigated through questionnaires.In this study,SPSS,a commonly used analysis software,was used for data processing.The results show that the scientific knowledge level on earthquake prevention and disaster reduction of residents in Liyang is above the average level,but there is still a lack of knowledge on earthquake prediction information release and relevant laws and regulations.Community residents have a strong and practical knowledge demand for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction.What they want to know most is self-help and mutual rescue knowledge.They prefer
