Incidence and prognostic value of malnutrition and wasting in human immunodeficiency virus--Infected outpatients

A study investigated malnutrition in patients infected with HIV. Malnutrition occurs frequently during HIV infection, increasing as the disease progresses, and predicts patient survival independent of CD4positive lymphocyte counts.
