Under optimized conditions, the NFS cut-off limits for test strips was determined as 5 ng/mL in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline and 10 ng/mL in fish. Results were obtained within 5 min. Our data suggests this immunochromatographic assay can be used for the sensitive, rapid, and specific on-site screening for NFS in fish.
