Effectiveness of irrigated tip catheter ablation of common atrial flutter

Safety and efficacy of the irrigated tip catheter used as first-line therapy for flutter ablation were assessed in 221 consecutive patients. A 99% acute success rate was observed without significant complications and only a 3% of recurrence rate was observed during a mean follow-up of 1 year.
