Zusammenfassung:	Standard echocardiographic measurements of systolic function in patients receiving anthracycline may miss early signs of ventricular dysfunction. In this study, we utilized a global index of sytolic and diastolic ventricular function, the myocardial performance index, and found evidence of significant cardiotoxicity at a lower cumulative dosage of anthracycline than previously recognized.
