Zusammenfassung:The argumentation on the adoption of UK's Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) framework for the improvement of the assisted reproductive market in the US is discussed. The process of assisted reproduction (specifically, in vitro fertilization), the risks to which patient consumers are exposed, the lack of remedy in the current legal landscape, and the successes of the HFEA are reviewed. The importance of regulation to increase trust in using assisted reproductive technology in the US is also emphasized.
