Atrial natriuretic peptide expression in rats with different pulmonary hypertensive responses to hypoxia

A study tested the hypothesis that plasma immunoreactive atrial natriuretic peptide (ir ANP) and right heart irANP and ANP mRNA levels would be greater in a strain of rats that develops more severe hypoxic pulmonary hypertension than other strains.
