Cardiac output mediates the antihypertensive effect of vasopressin in spontaneous hypertension

Balakrishnan and McNeill conclude that the withdrawal-induced antihypertensive phenomenon in spontaneously hypertensive rats is mediated by a fall in cardiac output, not a decline in total peripheral resistance.
