Mohammad Afzal Mir

In January 1978, Afzal was appointed senior lecturer and consultant physician in the diabetes and metabolism unit in the department of integrated medicine at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. [...]was his popularity with his clinical colleagues that after retiring he was persuaded to return to clinical medicine as a locum consultant at Caerphilly District Miners’ Hospital, where he remained until April 2006.
